Last month, Michael Jackson III joined the transfer portal. The ex-Trojans receiver revealed on Thursday, through a graphic on his social media page, that he has decided to transfer to Georgia.
During the current season, Jackson participated in seven games for the Trojans, recording 17 catches for 146 yards and securing a touchdown. Over his three seasons with the team, he accumulated 46 catches, 498 yards, and 5 touchdowns.
A 4-star recruit according to 247 Sports’ composite rankings in high school, Jackson received offers from various schools, including three SEC programs: Kentucky, Ole Miss, and Tennessee.
Notably, Georgia’s primary receiver this season was tight end Brock Bowers, who tallied 56 catches for 714 yards and 6 touchdowns. However, Bowers has announced his decision to enter the NFL draft. Following Bowers, senior Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint and junior Dominic Lovett were among the team’s top-performing receivers.
