Josh Reynolds had a strong season with the Lions in 2023 but moved on during free agency, signing a two-year deal with the Broncos. Reynolds caught 40 passes for 608 yards and tied a career-high with five touchdowns, which caught Detroit’s attention, but the team didn’t offer a market-level contract. Consequently, Reynolds signed with Denver for $9 million.

“It’s business,” the 29-year-old said about the Lions’ decision not to push harder to re-sign him, expressing excitement about his new team. The Broncos, after trading Jerry Jeudy, still have Tim Patrick and Courtland Sutton, despite a contract dispute with Sutton. They also drafted Marin Mims in the second round and Troy Franklin in the fourth. Reynolds aims to secure a role within this group, attracted by the opportunity to play under head coach Sean Payton.
“I’ve always admired Sean Payton from afar,” Reynolds, a Texas A&M product, said. He is eager to see how Payton’s offense performs.
