On Wednesday night, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever will take on the Connecticut Sun for the last time in the 2024 WNBA season. The Fever have been on a roll since the Olympic break, posting a 3-1 record, with each win coming against a playoff-caliber team. However, Indiana might have to play without one of their starters in this upcoming game. According to IndyStar Sports writer Chloe Peterson, forward Katie Lou Samuelson has been added to the Fever’s injury report due to personal reasons. This isn’t entirely unexpected, as Samuelson left the Fever’s game against the Dream on Monday after just six minutes due to feeling unwell.
Katie Lou Samuelson is questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Sun because of personal reasons.
She only played six minutes and took herself out of the game on Monday because she wasn’t feeling well, head coach Christie Sides said.

Samuelson has played a significant role for the Fever, who are eyeing a playoff spot. The former UConn Huskies star has started in half of Indiana’s games this season, averaging 4.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. If Samuelson is unavailable for Wednesday’s game, the Fever might turn to guard Lexie Hull, who recently scored a career-high 22 points, to fill the starting role. Another option could be forward Temi Fagbenle. The Fever enter the game against the Sun with a 14-16 record, holding third place in the Eastern Conference and the seventh seed in the WNBA playoffs.
