This weekend’s visitor list is shaping up to be one of the strongest of the year. Numerous recruits will be in Athens to watch Georgia face Mississippi State, including a four-star defensive back committed to Auburn. But there’s more—another defensive back, this one a five-star recruit, is also visiting from a different SEC program.
Dijon Lee, a five-star cornerback from California, will be making the trip to Georgia. According to 247Sports composite rankings, Lee is the No. 4 cornerback and the No. 24 overall player in the nation, as well as the top-ranked player in California.
Lee has been committed to Alabama since June, but Kirby Smart and his staff are working to change that. What sets Lee apart is his height—at nearly 6-4, he’s one of the tallest cornerbacks in the country. That height will be an asset in the SEC, where he’ll face many tall, talented receivers.
Lee is also highly athletic, excelling in track and field. As a junior, he won a league championship in the triple jump and performed well in the long jump and hurdle events.

Lee will be the second high-profile Alabama commit visiting Athens this weekend, along with four-star running back Anthony Rogers. While the loss to Alabama two weeks ago still stings, flipping one of these recruits could provide a much-needed boost.
Hopefully, Georgia performs well this weekend, and Smart and his team can make significant progress with these recruits. This weekend has the potential to be one of the season’s highlights, both on and off the field.
