Brian Curley suspended After An Amazing performance against Kennesaw State

 

After a shaky start, the Georgia Bulldogs mounted a comeback against the Kennesaw State Owls to secure their fourth win of the season. The Owls jumped ahead early with four runs but remained scoreless for the rest of the game. A strong ninth inning ultimately lifted the Bulldogs to a 6-4 victory.

Alford sparked the rally with a solo home run midway through the game, cutting the deficit to one. Later, Ryan Black delivered a clutch game-tying homer to even the score at four. In the top of the ninth, the Bulldogs loaded the bases with no outs, taking the lead on a wild pitch during a walk before adding another run to extend their advantage to two.

In the bottom of the ninth, Brian Curley took the mound as the closer and delivered in the clutch. The Owls put runners on first and second with one out, but Curley shut the door with back-to-back strikeouts to seal the win. Third baseman Slate Alford also contributed with a highlight-reel diving catch in foul territory during the inning.

The Bulldogs will be back in action this weekend, playing their first home series of the season against UIC. The four-game set kicks off on Thursday.
