BREAKING: Contractual agreement In Signing top-talent

The MLB offseason has been buzzing with excitement as several high-profile free agents have joined new teams.

So far, notable signings include Juan Soto with the New York Mets, Max Fried with the New York Yankees, and Blake Snell with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

However, a few big names remain unsigned, and one player drawing significant attention is Pete Alonso of the Mets.

According to MLB insider Jon Heyman, four teams have expressed interest in Alonso this offseason. While the Mets are considered the frontrunners to retain him, Heyman reports that the San Francisco Giants, Seattle Mariners, and Toronto Blue Jays are also in the mix.

Alonso, who debuted with the Mets in 2019, has spent all six seasons of his MLB career with the team. Known for his power hitting, he has won multiple home run derbies and recorded three seasons with 40 or more home runs.

In the 2024 season, Alonso played all 162 games for the first time in his career, batting .240 with 34 home runs, 88 RBIs, and a .788 OPS. Despite a slight dip in his home run numbers, his durability and consistency were standout aspects of his performance.

Heyman cautions that the MLB offseason is unpredictable, so it wouldn’t be surprising if another team emerges as a contender for Alonso.
