The Texas Rangers have finalized a new contract with Adolis Garcia, the standout player from their recent playoff run. According to MLB Network’s Jon Heyman, the agreement spans two years and is worth $14 million. Garcia’s earnings could increase further based on his performance in MVP rankings and plate appearances.
Previously, there were plans for an arbitration hearing between the Rangers and Garcia, but they have been circumvented with this deal.
Garcia’s exceptional performance in 2023 saw him hitting 38 home runs and tallying 107 RBIs. He garnered accolades such as an All-Star selection, a Gold Glove award, and the ALCS MVP title during the playoffs. Notably, his walk-off home run in Game 1 of the World Series against the Arizona Diamondbacks remains unforgettable.
The Rangers are slated to kick off their season against the Chicago Cubs on March 28th.
