Another top prospect joins Chris Kapilovic’s lineup.
Four-star offensive tackle Micah DeBose has committed to Alabama, choosing the Crimson Tide over LSU and Ohio State.
The standout from Vigor High School in Alabama committed while in Tuscaloosa during the final weekend of June, marking his fourth visit to the campus this year.
At 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds, DeBose was one of the first in-state recruits to reaffirm his offer in January. Later that winter, DeBoer visited his high school, and Kapilovic and Nick Sheridan met with him in May.
DeBose told Bama247 that Alabama and LSU were his top two choices going into the summer, largely due to how valued he felt by the staff and his growing relationship with Chris Kapilovic.
“He’s a really great guy,” DeBose told Bama247 before his June visit. “He talks about the guys he’s put in the league but doesn’t brag. He tells me he can help me reach my goals. With his track record, he’s done more with less.”

Another weekend visit to Tuscaloosa solidified DeBose’s decision to stay in-state and play for the team he grew up watching.
According to the Top247 Player Rankings, DeBose is the No. 21 offensive tackle, No. 189 player, and No. 14 prospect in Alabama. He joins an impressive offensive line unit in Alabama’s recruiting class alongside Jackson Lloyd, Michael Carroll, and Mal Waldrep.
