“Free agent F Darius Bazley is planning to sign a non-guaranteed three-year deal with the Utah Jazz, sources tell ESPN. He’s averaged 21 points, 9.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists for Delaware of G League this season.”
The Jazz also signed Kenneth Lofton Jr. to a similar deal according to Woj.
On March 1, Bazley signed a deal with the G League’s Delaware Blue Coats, who initially re-acquired him for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. The Blue Coats are the G League affiliate for the Philadelphia 76ers, who signed Bazley to a 10-day deal on Feb. 20.
He played just 3.3 minutes per night in three games for the 76ers.
Bazley arrived in Phoenix last season as part of the Dario Saric trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder and hit free agency after the 2022-23 season, where he first signed with the Brooklyn Nets before being waived prior to the start of the season in October.
Bazley is just 23 years old.
The Jazz are just 28-36 on the season thus far and on the outside in of the playoff picture in the West. The Suns are 37-27 and currently hold the No. 6 seed.
