According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the former Unanimous All-American, two-time first-team All-SEC, Jacobs Blocking Trophy winner, Outland Trophy winner, and two-time College Football Playoff National Champion (2017, 2020) has signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers. Leatherwood previously played for the Las Vegas Raiders (2021-22) and Chicago Bears (2022-23), and had a practice squad stint with the Cleveland Browns in 2023 before this opportunity with the Chargers.

Leatherwood, a five-star recruit from Florida in the 2017 class, began his Alabama career playing both right guard and left tackle, contributing to the Crimson Tide’s Joe Moore Award-winning offensive line in 2020.

He now seeks to excel with the Chargers.
