Quarterback Joe Burrow, wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, and wide receiver Justin Jefferson were part of a championship-winning team at LSU. Now in the NFL, Burrow and Chase are still teammates with the Bengals. Jefferson admits he feels a bit envious that the pair continue playing together.
On Kevin Hart’s YouTube show, Jefferson expressed admiration for Burrow and Chase’s partnership as teammates, while acknowledging his own sense of envy.
Jefferson, now entering his fifth season with the Minnesota Vikings, doesn’t have a quarterback of Burrow’s caliber on his team. With Kirk Cousins gone and the possibility of drafting a new quarterback in the first round, there’s no certainty the new QB will be an elite passer that Jefferson, like any wide receiver, would desire to play with.
Justin Jefferson has some jealousy that Ja'Marr Chase got to keep playing with Joe Burrow. https://t.co/CYs4aVF1pw

Jefferson is in the last year of his rookie contract, but it’s unlikely the Bengals would offer him the kind of salary he would demand alongside the commitments they’ve already made to Burrow and the anticipated future earnings for Chase. As a result, Jefferson will likely have to watch Burrow and Chase continue playing together for years to come.
