Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore has stated that defensive line coach Greg Scruggs has resigned from his position, effective immediately. This decision follows Scruggs’ arrest on Saturday for allegedly driving under the influence.
Moore declined to provide further details, citing it as a matter for the University to address. Notably, this isn’t Scruggs’ first offense, as he was previously arrested for a DUI charge in 2011. His resignation, just weeks after being hired on March 6, means that the Wolverines will need to restart their search for a replacement coach.
