Marlon Humphrey is giving back to the Crimson Tide. The Baltimore Ravens’ defensive back, who played under Nick Saban at Alabama, has donated $250,000 to the Alabama College of Communication & Information Sciences for a sports broadcasting program, according to Tide Illustrated. Additionally, Humphrey contributed $50,000 to the athletic program to support equipment and travel for wheelchair athletes.
Since being drafted by the Ravens in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Humphrey has helped the team achieve at least 10 wins in five seasons, with only one losing season (8-9 in 2021).
A standout from Hoover High School and Alabama, Humphrey missed the first four games of the 2023 season due to foot surgery and also missed two games in November and the regular-season finale and playoff victory over the Houston Texans due to a calf injury.
In high school, Humphrey was a three-time All-State football player, leading Hoover to AHSAA Class 6A titles in 2012 and 2013, and winning six individual state track championships. At Alabama, he played on the 2015 CFP national championship team and was a first-team All-American in 2016 before being drafted 16th overall in 2017.
