Originally from Connecticut, Quick embarked on his debut season with the Rangers after splitting the 2022-23 season among the Los Angeles Kings, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Vegas Golden Knights. His journey began with a trade from the Kings to the Blue Jackets on March 1, 2023, alongside two draft picks, in exchange for defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov and goaltender Joonas Korpisalo. Subsequently, Quick found himself traded to the Golden Knights the following day, in a deal that included a seventh-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft and goaltender Michael Hutchinson. However, Quick’s allegiance shifted to the Rangers when he signed a one-year contract worth $825,000 on July 1.
