The Phoenix Suns have signed Northwestern guard Boo Buie to an Exhibit-10 contract.
Buie, 24, is Northwestern’s all-time leading scorer with 2,187 points over his five-year career. In the 2023-24 season, the 6-foot-2 guard averaged a career-high 19 points, shooting 43.8% from the field, 43.4% from three, and 85.8% from the free-throw line. He also contributed 5.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game, starting all 34 games for the Wildcats.
An Exhibit-10 contract is a one-year, non-guaranteed deal at the minimum salary. The Suns have the option to convert it to a two-way contract before the regular season starts. Buie is expected to play for Phoenix’s Summer League team and will have an opportunity to showcase his skills during summer workouts. He could eventually play for the Suns’ G League affiliate, the Valley Suns, in their inaugural season this fall.
Currently, the Suns have one of their three two-way slots filled, having reached an agreement with undrafted Baylor forward Jalen Bridges earlier today.

In the draft, Phoenix acquired Virginia forward Ryan Dunn at No. 28 overall and Marquette big man Oso Ighodaro at No. 40 by making multiple trades, which also gave the team two additional future second-round picks.
