The LSU Tigers are bringing in highly sought-after wide receiver Kaliq Lockett for a visit to Baton Rouge, marking him as a key target for the 2025 recruitment class. Lockett, ranked as the third-best wide receiver in the nation, hailing from Sachse, Texas, will be visiting Baton Rouge on April 12 to explore the campus and meet with Brian Kelly’s coaching staff.
During the Spring Game weekend, Lockett will have the opportunity to interact with other important prospects from both the 2025 and 2026 cycles. Having recently visited Texas A&M and TCU in January, Lockett has four more visits lined up for this spring: Florida State, Ohio State, Penn State, and LSU.
Cortez Hankton, LSU’s wide receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator, has been actively pursuing Lockett, who was offered by LSU last fall. The Tigers are eager to secure Lockett’s commitment and add him to their already impressive 2025 recruitment class, which includes top talents like Bryce Underwood, Harlem Berry, and Dakorien Moore.
Speaking of Moore, LSU already secured a commitment from him, the top wide receiver in the 2025 class. Moore is praised for his advanced route running skills, agility, and ability to make plays in open space. Additionally, his proficiency in changing speeds and excellent ball skills make him a valuable asset for LSU’s future. Adding Lockett to the mix would further bolster LSU’s receiving corps and solidify their recruiting efforts for the upcoming cycle.
