On Tuesday, Alabama football secured its third offensive line commitment for the 2025 recruiting class. Tackle prospect Jackson Lloyd committed following his official visit to Tuscaloosa.
Lloyd, a four-star recruit according to 247Sports composite ratings, plays high school football at Carmel in California. The 6-foot-7, 290-pound Lloyd is ranked as the No. 19 offensive tackle and the No. 187 overall player in the 2025 class. Additionally, he plays basketball and baseball at Carmel.
“His length is impressive, he moves well, and is a physical player,” noted 247Sports national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins in his evaluation of Lloyd. “He reaches the second level, frequently dominates linebackers and defensive backs, and overpowers high school opponents. He sometimes plays too high and can improve his short area quickness, but he has all the physical attributes you want. He plays with a mean streak and goes through the whistle.”

Lloyd chose Alabama over offers from Florida, Ohio State, and Michigan State, among others. He was one of the first recruits targeted by new Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer after he took over from Nick Saban in January.
Lloyd is Alabama’s 17th commitment in the 2025 class, joining Central-Phenix City tackle Mal Waldrep and Pennsylvania IOL prospect Michael Carroll. Currently, Alabama’s class ranks third in the 247Sports composite ratings, behind Ohio State and Notre Dame.
