The Dallas Cowboys concluded their season alongside the Pittsburgh Steelers, and as they gear up for the offseason, their initial focus lies on reserve/future contracts. Among these contracts is former Pittsburgh wide receiver Martavis Bryant, whom the Cowboys are set to bring back for the summer of 2024. This move provides the veteran with another opportunity to secure a spot on the team’s roster. Bryant initially joined Dallas’ practice squad on Nov. 7, following his reinstatement by the NFL. Although he was released on Jan. 4, he did not make any game appearances in the 2023 season.
The Steelers’ former fourth-round pick, Martavis Bryant, has been absent from NFL games since 2018. His tenure in Pittsburgh saw him make 126 receptions for 1,917 yards and score 17 touchdowns. Subsequently, he was traded to the Oakland Raiders but only played eight games before facing an indefinite suspension. Afterward, the 31-year-old wide receiver ventured into the Canadian Football League (CFL), competing for the Toronto Argonauts and Edmonton Elks. In the spring of the following year, he participated in the XFL, representing the Vegas Vipers.
