Sophomore pass rusher Damon Wilson, ranked as the top available player in the transfer portal by 247Sports, recently visited the Missouri Tigers. If he joins Missouri, he could reunite with former Georgia edge rusher Darris Smith, who missed the 2024 season due to a knee injury.
Wilson, a former five-star recruit, is coming off a standout season with Georgia, recording 22 tackles, three sacks, and forcing two fumbles in 2024. Despite his promising performance, Wilson played behind Mykel Williams and Jalon Walker, both of whom are now headed to the NFL.
Georgia, already losing several elite front-seven players to the 2025 NFL Draft, faces a significant challenge in replacing its defensive talent. While the Bulldogs have signed five-star recruits Elijah Griffin and Isaiah Gibson, they are expected to explore the transfer portal to bolster their pass rush.
