The Parramatta Eels are excited to announce that Abbi Church, Cassey Tohi-Hiku and Tess McWilliams have extended their contracts as the Club continues building towards a strong future in the NRL Telstra Women’s Premiership.
Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football, Mark O’Neill, said the signings reflect the Club’s vision for long-term success.
“We’re thrilled that Abbi Church and Cassey Tohi-Hiku have chosen to continue their journey with the Eels through to 2028. Abbi has played the most games for the Club and is now a Dally M Team of the Year medallist – her leadership and loyalty are invaluable. Cassey has consistently been one of our most dependable and dynamic performers.
“We’re also excited to welcome Tess McWilliams through to 2027, a young player of enormous potential. Her debut season has already given us a glimpse of what’s to come. These signings reflect our commitment to building a competitive and sustainable NRLW program for years to come.”
2024 Dally M Fullback of the Year and foundation Eels NRLW player Abbi Church has been a standout for the Eels since the Club’s NRLW inception, known for her speed, vision, and leadership from the back. Her re-signing ensures the team retains a proven game-changer at the heart of its spine.
Cassey Tohi-Hiku has been a consistent and powerful presence in the backline and her 25-game milestone is a testament to her durability, commitment, and impact on and off the field.
Tess McWilliams has emerged as one of the brightest young talents in the game. After starring in NSW’s U19 State of Origin victory, she made her NRLW debut earlier this year, showcasing skill, maturity, and a fearless approach well beyond her years.
The Parramatta Eels congratulate Abbi, Cassey, and Tess on their signings and look forward to their continued contributions in blue and gold.
