Michigan wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy and the Wolverines secured a major commitment from one of their top targets in the 2025 class, as four-star wide receiver Andrew Marsh, ranked in the top 75, announced his decision to join the maize and blue on Tuesday. Bellamy has been actively recruiting Marsh since offering him a scholarship in January 2023. Marsh has made several unofficial visits to Michigan, including one this spring and another for the BBQ at the Big House last month.
In a surprising turn of events, Marsh canceled his official visit to Oklahoma, originally scheduled for the weekend of June 21, and instead added Michigan to his itinerary for Victors Weekend at the last minute. Although Oklahoma was once considered the frontrunner, Marsh shifted his focus to Michigan after the Sooners secured commitments from three other wide receivers.
During his visit to Michigan for the BBQ at the Big House in July, Marsh and his mother were impressed by the experience. His mother, Eleanor, mentioned that the visit felt like home and that they were even allowed to guide the visit and set the schedule.
In addition to Michigan and Oklahoma, Marsh received offers from several other top programs, including Ohio State, Washington, Penn State, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, USC, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M.
As a junior last fall, Marsh recorded 65 receptions for 1,158 yards and 15 touchdowns. His sophomore season saw him catch 53 passes for 845 yards and 11 touchdowns. Over his three-year high school career, Marsh has amassed 149 receptions for 2,414 yards and 31 touchdowns.
According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Marsh is ranked No. 13 in Texas, No. 9 at the wide receiver position, and No. 63 overall in his class. He becomes the second wide receiver in the 2025 class to commit to Michigan, joining four-star Jacob Washington.
