Five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi, ranked as the 12th-best overall player in the Class of 2025, committed to Oklahoma on Wednesday. Hailing from Lewisville, Texas, Fasusi picked the Sooners over Texas, Texas A&M, Missouri, Oregon, and Alabama from a pool of 37 offers. “I nearly committed during my official visit to Oklahoma,” Fasusi shared with On3. “The visit to Norman solidified everything for me. It wasn’t just me; my family felt it too. The coaches didn’t just impress me—they made my family feel comfortable, and we all felt the love.” Standing at 6-foot-5, Fasusi is ranked as the third-best tackle in his class and the fifth-best recruit in Texas, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. Fasusi’s commitment marks the first five-star recruit for Oklahoma coach Brent Venables in this class. The Sooners currently boast the eighth-best recruiting class in the nation, per 247Sports.
Oklahoma, ranked No. 16, will kick off its 2024 season at home against Temple on August 30.
