Florida State football had an exceptional 2023 season under head coach Mike Norvell, achieving remarkable feats in his fourth season at the helm. The team boasted several players who were selected during the 2024 NFL Draft.

Mike Norvell Got A 'Glimpse' Against LSU Of What His Seminoles Can Do

We have comprehensive draft coverage on our site from the past few weeks, so we won’t go into detail about the event here. However, if you missed anything, you can catch up by clicking here.

Florida State showcased its talent during the 2024 NFL Draft, demonstrating its ability to develop players and fulfill their lifelong dreams. If you’re looking to be developed and achieve your goals, come to Tallahassee. Norvell has transformed the Seminoles’ football program into a destination for many transfer portal candidates.

One notable addition to the Seminoles’ roster was defensive tackle Braden Fiske, who transferred from Western Michigan last offseason. Despite the return of veteran defensive tackle Fabien Lovett Sr. for his senior season, Fiske’s role became crucial after Lovett Sr. was injured in the season opener against LSU. The coaching staff rotated players more frequently to maintain overall team health and pursue the ultimate goal of reaching the College Football Playoff.

Braden Fiske Scouting Report | NFL Draft 2024

Fiske, who transferred from Western Michigan, had 148 total tackles (27 for loss) and 13.5 sacks over his four seasons with the Broncos. His addition strengthened the defensive line alongside talented defensive ends Jared Verse and Patrick Payton. Fiske’s standout performance came in the ACC Championship Game against Louisville, where he recorded nine total tackles (4.5 for loss) and three sacks.

His impressive performance, coupled with his exceptional showing at the NFL Scouting Combine, led to the Los Angeles Rams selecting him with the 39th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, reuniting him with former teammate Jared Verse.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the terms of Fiske’s contract with the Rams.

This serves as a remarkable recruiting tool for the coaching staff moving forward. While Tallahassee may not have the same glamour as cities like Miami or Los Angeles, Norvell and his team can emphasize the player development and life-changing opportunities they offer to their athletes and their families.

I’m excited to see these former Seminoles in their debut NFL games.
