Mark Stone scored just 19 seconds into the game, marking the tying goal for Jonathan Marchessault as the fourth-fastest goal in the franchise’s history.”It was a fortunate bounce,” Stone remarked. “I aimed to angle it, and [Blues defenseman Cam Fowler] inadvertently deflected it off my shin pads. The puck landed in a favorable spot. You definitely appreciate those quick starts.”Victor Olofsson then increased the lead to 2-0 with a bar-down shot at 8:54 as the power play concluded.

Hertl, Dorofeyev Stay Hot

Dorofeyev continued his impressive season by scoring a power-play goal at 6:30 of the second period, bringing his total to a career-high 21 goals this season, which leads the team. Over the last six games, he has accumulated 10 points, including seven goals and three assists.Only two players had more goals than Dorofeyev during that timeframe: Boston’s David Pastrnak and Toronto’s Auston Matthews.Tomas Hertl added his fifth goal in four games with an empty-net tally at 19:33, moving him into second place on the team with 17 goals, trailing only Dorofeyev. Hertl has also recorded 11 points in his recent outings.

Karlsson Deemed ‘Week to Week’

Hours prior to the game, the Golden Knights announced that forward William Karlsson would be sidelined for a “week to week” period due to a lower-body injury, resulting in his placement on injured reserve.Additionally, Cole Schwindt was also placed on IR on Thursday.To address these absences, the Golden Knights called up Tanner Laczynski and Brendan Brisson from their AHL affiliate, the Henderson Silver Knights.
