Caleb Holt has had an extremely busy summer, competing with Team USA in the U17 FIBA World Cup and participating in the Adidas 3SSB circuit. His performances on various basketball courts have solidified his reputation as a top-three overall prospect in the Class of 2026 from New Market, Alabama.
Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program have been closely monitoring Holt and have recently extended an offer to him. Holt announced the offer from the Tar Heels on Sunday night, using old-school photos, including one of Kenny “The Jet” Smith and an older photo of the Dean Smith Center.
The 6-foot-5, 200-pound small forward is ranked by 247Sports Composite as the No. 3 overall player in his class and the top prospect from Alabama in the Class of 2026.

Several Division I programs have already extended offers to Holt, with many more expected in the coming months. If he continues to play at an elite level, top-tier programs will be eager to recruit him. The UNC basketball program has been selective with their offers to the Class of 2026, making Holt just the fourth player to receive an offer from the Tar Heels, highlighting their strong interest in him and belief in his potential to become a star at UNC.
