LSU running back Trey Holly, seen here scoring a touchdown against Army in 2023, has been apprehended on numerous felony charges following a shooting incident over the weekend in his hometown of Farmerville, Louisiana. The charges include attempted second-degree murder, aggravated criminal damage to property, and illegal use of a weapon. The incident occurred at an apartment complex last Friday night, resulting in two individuals being hospitalized with gunshot wounds, with one woman in critical condition.
As reported by ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Holly has been placed on indefinite suspension from all team activities at LSU. Holly, who played in three games during his freshman year, garnered 110 yards and scored a touchdown on 11 carries. He was a 3-star recruit in the 2023 class, boasting a remarkable high school career at Union Parish High School in Farmerville, where he set a Louisiana all-divisions rushing record of 10,523 yards. Farmerville, a small town with a population of 3,300, is situated in extreme northern Louisiana, approximately 30 miles northwest of Monroe.
