Ohio State Loses Major Transfer Upgrade

Ohio State boasts one of the strongest rosters in college football, so adding players to it at this point would be like adding a cherry to a perfect milkshake. Despite having an opportunity to acquire a talented offensive player, the Buckeyes missed out as he opted for another Big Ten School.

The landscape of the Big Ten will undergo significant changes in 2024 with the inclusion of Oregon, Washington, UCLA, and USC. These four teams have already established themselves in the college football realm. Among them, USC, with its stacked roster, is a team to be wary of, especially after adding a standout player this week.

USC Outshines Ohio State in Receiver Acquisition

Last week, rumors swirled around UCLA wide receiver Kyle Ford entering the transfer portal. There was speculation that he might reunite with his former head coach, Chip Kelly, now the offensive coordinator at Ohio State. However, Ford ultimately chose to stay in Los Angeles and return to USC, where he began his college career before transferring to UCLA.

Despite missing out on Ford, Ohio State remains well-equipped at the wide receiver position. They boast one of the nation’s best in Emeka Egbuka, along with promising talents like true freshman Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate. Additionally, Brandon Inniss, who was spotted in a walking boot at the spring game, is expected to be ready for the season.
