Near the trade deadline, the Baltimore Ravens acquired former All-Pro cornerback Tre’Davious White in an attempt to improve their secondary in-season. Given that this move for Baltimore was made merely to get through the rest of the season, White is obviously not the player he once was with the Buffalo Bills.
Luckily for the Ravens, they could possibly land another young cornerback prospect. They added Nate Wiggins last year in the first round, who’s shown the ability to turn into a stud sooner rather than later. The Ravens could potentially create a young cornerback tandem in 2025, as Travis May of A to Z Sports had them select Notre Dame prospect Benjamin Morrison with the No.26 pick.
Benjamin Morrison suffered a hip injury that needed surgery in October, but he should be fully ready to go well before his rookie season begins. He allowed an insanely low 45% completion rate when targeted throughout his entire career at Notre Dame as an elite cover corner every season for the Fighting Irish. If he had spent all last season healthy it’s likely he would go much earlier than this pick.
Morrison had been a lockdown corner in his first two seasons with the Irish, but his injury limited him to six appearances in 2024. Morrison recorded five tackles for a loss, nine interceptions, and eighteen passes defended over the course of three years. For many years to come, he and Wiggins would provide Baltimore with a formidable cornerback combination.
