The San Jose Sharks have decided to part ways with head coach David Quinn, as announced by the National Hockey League team.
Quinn took on the role of head coach in July 2022 but ended up with a record of 41-98-25 over his two seasons, losing more than twice as many games as he won. This included having the NHL’s worst record in the 2023-24 season that just concluded.
“After going through our end-of-season process of internal meetings and evaluating where our team is at and where we want our group to go, we have made the difficult decision to make a change at the head coach position,” said Sharks general manager Mike Grier in a statement on Wednesday.
Thank you, Quinny.

Additionally, the Sharks announced that head athletic trainer Ray Tufts will not be returning after more than two decades with the team.
