The Miami Dolphins boast a highly skilled coaching staff, and it’s unsurprising that some of their coaches are attracting attention for potential promotions with other teams across the league.
Recently, Dolphins offensive coordinator Frank Smith participated in a virtual interview with the Seattle Seahawks for their vacant head coach position. This marks his second interview, having previously met with the Carolina Panthers regarding their head coach opening.
At 42 years old, Smith joined the Dolphins’ coaching staff in 2022 under Mike McDaniel, following a stint with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2021 and three years with the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders. In a survey conducted by the NFLPA this past year, where over 1,700 players rated their coordinators on a scale of 1-10, Smith garnered the highest grade among all coaches in his role. Therefore, any team that secures his services, whether it’s Miami or another franchise, can expect to have an intelligent and well-liked leader to contribute to their success.
