Frazier, who joined the Hokies in 2021 under Head Coach Mike Young, played a key role in player development and recruiting during his tenure in Blacksburg. His departure marks a significant change in the coaching staff as the program looks to regroup following a challenging 2024–25 season.

“We are grateful to Chester for his commitment and contributions to our program over the past four years,” said Coach Young in a brief statement. “He brought energy, leadership, and a deep knowledge of the game. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

No immediate reason was provided for the decision, and it remains unclear what Frazier’s next move will be. Prior to Virginia Tech, Frazier served as an assistant at Kansas State and Illinois, where he also starred as a player.

The search for Frazier’s replacement is expected to begin immediately as the Hokies aim to bolster their staff ahead of offseason workouts and recruiting efforts.
